Although most of my work, I do in the lab or sitting at a desk, what inspired me to become an evolutionary biologist was appreciating the incredible diversity of life on our planet and trying to comprehend where it all came from. Fieldwork is one of my favorite parts of the job and I try to get out into the wild as much as possible on my own time too. Here are some of the creatures I come across.
